The US House of Representatives Committee on Energy and Commerce held hearings on June 14, 2023 which included debate over a proposed amendment which would restrict graduate medical education funding to pediatric hospitals that performed certain gender affirmative care. The bill was sponsored by Texas rep Dan Crenshaw and a lively debate over the issue took place in the hearing.
Included was an opening statement and brief testimony by Child, Adolescent, & Adult Psychiatrist Miriam Grossman, MD about the dangers of transitioning children.
She is the author of a 2023 book titled “Lost in Trans Nation: A Child Psychiatrist’s Guide Out of the Madness”. It is a scholarly text with a forward by Dr Jordan Peterson.
