0:01 prices are skyrocketing you now need a
0:03 six- figure salary to buy the average
0:05 home prices is outrageous earning less
0:07 money they have more groceries are I
0:10 mean almost unaffordable a PBS poll done
0:13 this month found that 95% of American
0:16 voters say they will be considering the
0:17 economy when placing their 2024
0:20 presidential vote that’s huge a majority
0:24 59% say it is a deciding factor in their
0:27 vote it’s no surprise that Americans are
0:30 hurting our groceries have gone from you
0:33 know maybe $100 a week to double that if
0:35 not more I have never seen
0:38 anything like this I really waited my
0:41 whole life to grow up and do this and
0:43 the candidates know it too both have
0:44 spoken repeatedly about their desire to
0:46 bring down prices we also need to lower
0:49 the cost of living prices for everyday
0:52 Necessities like groceries are still too
0:54 high now you have record setting
0:56 inflation just hang in there we’re going
0:57 to bring those costs way down prices
1:00 have risen since Joe and kamla took
1:02 office data from the Consumer Price
1:05 Index shows that food prices have
1:07 increased 20% over the last 4 years
1:10 items like eggs flour sugar and butter
1:12 have all increased between 30 to
1:14 40% Energy prices have increased 30%
1:17 over that same period too and inflation
1:20 has increased from
1:22 1.23% in 2020 to a 9% peak in
1:26 2022 the Trump campaign says bomic is to
1:30 blame for the pain you’re feeling every
1:31 time you pull out your wallet but team
1:33 comma says this is the lingering result
1:35 of leftover policies from Trump his
1:38 handling of the covid pandemic and other
1:40 factors outside of the White House’s
1:42 control what’s the truth is one
1:45 political party to blame or is our
1:47 economy simply suffering from Global
1:49 uncontrollable
1:50 factors and even if someone is to blame
1:54 what are the solutions from each
1:55 candidate to turn this all around this
1:58 is election fact for the UN side a
2:01 voter part three the
2:05 economy let’s take it down to some
2:07 economic Basics first inflation in
2:11 prices the increase in all of these
2:13 prices food housing energy and anything
2:15 else are all related for example food
2:18 prices increase when the cost of growing
2:20 or producing that food like thanks to
2:22 high fuel or fertilizer prices to
2:24 operate Factory Machinery is high so
2:27 then what causes these across the board
2:29 in increases in price inflation and what
2:33 causes inflation inflation happens when
2:35 there’s just too much money relative to
2:37 the size of the economy and therefore
2:40 the value of a dollar decreases meaning
2:43 $5 won’t buy you as much as it did a few
2:46 years ago famous economist Melton
2:48 fredman explained it like this in
2:50 1978 inflation is made in Washington
2:53 because only Washington can create money
2:56 and any other attribution of to other
2:59 groups of infl
3:01 is wrong what produces it is too much
3:05 government spending and too much
3:07 government creation of money and nothing
3:09 else the left partly blames Trump’s
3:11 handling of the covid pandemic for why
3:13 our economy is suffering so much today
3:16 the Trump Administration did spend a lot
3:18 of money to battle covid nearly $4
3:20 trillion worth he left office with the
3:23 debt being about $6.5 trillion higher
3:26 than it was when he started in Biden’s
3:29 first 3 and half years in office the
3:30 debt increased nearly $8 trillion higher
3:33 than that possibly N9 by the time he
3:35 leaves so Biden Harris are spending more
3:38 but really both sides of this election
3:40 spent significant amounts of money while
3:42 in office Kamala also blames tax cuts
3:45 enacted by Trump for Rising inflation
3:48 arguing that they were designed to
3:49 benefit the wealthy corporate owners
3:51 rather than the average American sadly
3:54 Donald Trump when he was president gave
3:56 tax cuts to the richest to billionaires
3:59 in big corporations which added
4:01 trillions of dollars to our deficit
4:03 Trump’s tax cuts actually focus on both
4:06 they lowered income brackets and tax
4:08 rates for individual Americans but also
4:10 lowered the corporate tax rate to a flat
4:12 21% IRS data from 2017 shows that
4:16 Americans in the lowest income brackets
4:18 saw a more significant reduction in
4:20 their taxes than those in higher income
4:23brackets CNN recently fact checked
4:26kamala’s claim Americans of all income
4:28levels got tax cuts from this 2017 law
4:31of the nonpartisan tax policy Center
4:33found in early 2018 that the law quote
4:36will reduce individual income taxes on
4:38average for all income groups and in all
4:41states a report from the house committee
4:43on Ways and Means found that in the two
4:45years after those cuts the median income
4:47per American Family actually increased
4:49$5,000 per year and average wages Rose
4:53by 5% as well overall prices also fell
4:57why because of basic supply and demand
5:00if corporations have more money to boost
5:02supply of their item then it’s available
5:05to more consumers and those companies
5:07can therefore afford to drop the price
5:09of that item since more customers will
5:12be buying it so what does the other side
5:14say well Republicans claimed that Biden
5:17and Kamala continued spending trillions
5:19of dollars on Co relief efforts when it
5:21wasn’t needed like additional stimulus
5:23checks for Americans and that the
5:25additional printing of so much money
5:27caused huge economic issues that
5:29wouldn’t have occurred if they’ let
5:30Trump’s Co spending expire like planned
5:33next jobs comma says Trump is
5:36responsible for huge job losses even
5:38before the pandemic America lost almost
5:42200,000 manufacturing jobs when he was
5:45president
5:47facts and those losses started before
5:49the pandemic but a CNN fact checked
5:52found her claim to be wrong with Trump
5:54actually presiding over a gain of over
5:56400,000 manufacturing jobs the carelo
5:59campaign also says CH and Biden are
6:01responsible for 16 million jobs
6:03created and say that Trump left us the
6:06worst unemployment since the Great
6:09Depression both of these are accurate
6:11statements but they don’t take into
6:12account the covid context since the jobs
6:15lost under Trump were thanks to the
6:16pandemic and most of the jobs gained
6:18under Biden were those lost jobs
6:20beginning to
6:21recover lastly energy since Biden and
6:25kamla took office home electricity
6:26prices have increased about 20% and
6:29Energy prices have increased nearly 30%
6:32and the average American home is paying
6:34$5,000 per year more on utilities than
6:37under Trump team Trump says this all
6:39goes back to Too Much regulation green
6:42initiatives under Biden Harris will add
6:44$31,000 to the cost of a new home or to
6:47retrofit your existing home to align
6:49with their standards it would cost you
6:52$9,000 during Trump’s time in the White
6:54House the us became energy independent
6:57for the first time in 62 years meaning
6:59that us energy production was higher
7:02than us energy consumption America also
7:05exported more crude oil than it imported
7:08Trump places a lot of emphasis on
7:10fracking and natural gas which now
7:11accounts for 43% of all electricity
7:14generated in the US and therefore has a
7:17huge impact on how much your energy bill
7:19is each month many on the left believe
7:21fracking is too harmful to the
7:23environment due to the release of
7:24greenhouse gases during the process
7:27during her 2019 campaign comma said she
7:29ban it all together there’s no question
7:31I’m in favor of banning fracking so yeah
7:34when that 2019 clip resurfaced Kamala
7:37said that she already pledged she would
7:38not ban it back in 2020 during a debate
7:41with Mike Pence do you still want to ban
7:44fracking no and I made that clear on the
7:46debate stage in 2020 but at that time in
7:492020 she had only said Joe Biden
7:51wouldn’t ban it not herself the American
7:54people know that Joe Biden will not ban
7:57fracking that is a fact the first time
8:00kamla said that she would not ban
8:01fracking as president was this year 2024
8:04and she continues to make that claim I
8:06am not going to ban fracking I did not
8:08as vice president the first day Biden
8:10and Kamala took the White House back in
8:122021 they canel permits for the Keystone
8:14XL pipeline blocking the project from
8:17going further the Keystone XL was phase
8:20four in the Keystone Pipeline plans
8:22which delivers Canadian crude oil to us
8:25markets proponents for fracking argue
8:27that new technology which Contin to
8:29better each year makes the risk of
8:31fracking to humans or the environment
8:33minimal and carbon emissions dropped in
8:362017 while Trump was pushing for more
8:38fracking to take place but while Kamala
8:41and Biden have been in office leases for
8:43natural gas and oil exploration have
8:45decreased with only 91,000 new Acres
8:48being leased under Biden versus 2.2
8:51million acres under Trump so at the end
8:54of the day which candidate will
8:55ultimately help your paycheck spread
8:57further only time will tell as
8:59especially since anything like a
9:01pandemic can affect the economy just
9:03like that but thankfully because both
9:06candidates have already been in the
9:07white house we have a good idea where
9:09their priorities lie moving forward
9:11Donald Trump favored cutting taxes for
9:13individuals corporations and small
9:15businesses removing government
9:17regulations and exploring more
9:19opportunities for natural gas kamla and
9:22Biden favored using government
9:23regulations to enact rules that deemed
9:25to be saver for the environment and
9:27slowing natural gas exploration
9:30team Trump has promised to make interest
9:31on car loans tax deductible and double
9:34taxation on Americans living abroad and
9:35has proposed eliminating income tax on
9:38overtime pay comma has vowed to increase
9:40taxes on corporations and the top
9:42earning Americans and provide tax
9:44credits for first-time home buyers or
9:45for developers who are building
9:47affordable housing but just remember
9:49whichever candidate you’re leaning
9:50toward nothing is ever free I think that
9:54the word free is one of the most misused
9:57words we speak of free education
9:59education isn’t free it costs money you
10:02spoke of free lectures but those
10:04lectures weren’t free the lectures Halls
10:06had to be provided the facilities had to
10:09be provided I am sure you have paid fees
10:11to some of the speakers what you mean to
10:13say is that the people who attended the
10:16lecture were subsidized by the people
10:18who did not attend the lecture and I do
10:20not believe that that is in my concept
10:23of what a free Society should be those
10:25are the facts now is time for you to
10:27 decide
